I’m Dr. Ahmad Barari – Researcher and Professor in Ontario, Canada
Dr. Ahmad Barari, PhD, PEng, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Dr. Barari has been primarily involved in research and development in engineering design and advanced manufacturing technologies for over 25 years. He contributed to many national and international projects in collaboration with industries, research centers, and universities. His research focus is on digital and precision design and manufacturing, including advanced manufacturing technologies including digital metrology, and 3D printing. Dr. Barari has been the chair, and organizer of many national and international professional conferences and Seminars in industrial, mechanical and manufacturing engineering research. He is currently Vice Chair of of Technical Committee TC 5.1, Manufacturing Plan Control, and chair of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) working group for the International Federation of Automatic control (IFAC), and member of several committees and project groups at the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) including ASME Model-Based Enterprise Standards Committee (MBE SC), and ASME Y14.46, Product Definition for Additive Manufacturing.
